Brothers Nick and Kirby Kuklenski own and operate 5 Ace Hardware stores in the Colorado Springs and Denver area. South Academy Ace HardwareAce Hardware Uintah GardensAce Hardware at Austin Bluffs, Mile High Ace Hardware and Garden, and Ace Hardware Cherry Creek are the “sister stores” owned by the brothers.

Uintah Gardens was the first store in the five store chain owned by the Kuklenski brothers. Going on their tenth year of business serving the westsiders in Colorado Springs, this 12,000 square-foot hardware store has neighborhood feel written all over it. It is conveniently located in the newly renovated King Soopers Shopping Center on the corner of 19th and Uintah.

Mile High Ace Hardware and Garden is a 20,000 square foot retail hardware store and is the second store owned by brothers.  As their flagship store, it is more than just a local neighborhood hardware store and has over 40,000 different items on its shelves and over 65,000 products available for special order.

Established in 2011, South Academy Ace Hardware became the third Ace Hardware store that the Kuklenski brothers would open in 5 years. Although smallest in stature, this 8,000 square foot retail hardware store packs quite the punch! It boasts a full paint department, propane filling station, outdoor garden center, USPS Post Office and a service counter that are all sure to get the job done! South Academy Ace is conveniently located in the King Soopers Shopping Center at the intersection of South Academy Boulevard & Hancock Expressway.

After changing hands in 2015, Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs officially became the 3rd Colorado Springs retail location and fourth store for the Kuklenski’s. The largest in stature at 20,000 square feet of retail hardware space, it boasts a full pet department, propane filling station, Stihl department, outdoor garden center and a full patio and grilling selection. Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs is conveniently located in the King Soopers Shopping Center at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard & Austin Bluffs Parkway.

Ace Cherry Creek is the fifth store owned by Nick & Kirby Kuklenski. Ace Cherry Creek provides a wide selection of hardware, plumbing, electrical, housewares, storage, tools and paint as well as an outdoor lawn and garden center.

Our five Ace Hardware stores were all created to serve their respective neighborhoods, and fill a much needed hardware store void. The brothers and their teams strive to support the community by partnering with District 11 schools, Children’s Miracle Network, and other local organizations through in-store events such as “Hot Dog Days” and “Grill Your Ace Off.”

Due to the outstanding performance of the Uintah Gardens location and their innovative merchandising and design of their second store, the brothers were awarded Young Retailers of the Year by the North American Retail Hardware Association in 2009. All 3 locations carry over 40,000 different items on their shelves and over 65,000 products available for special order.

At Ace Hardware we strive to meet all our guests’ needs. We are committed to being “The Helpful Place” by offering our customers knowledgeable advice, helpful service, and quality products. As the helpful hardware folks in your community, we promise that “helping you is the most important thing we have to do today.”
